Heavenly Father, please comfort us as we recall these many afflicted and hrting souls before You this hour. We praise You God for holding our very lives in the palms of your hands. We praise and exalt You Father God for providing us mercy for our several struggles and grace for our times of troublesome and wearing need. Lord God, this hour we pray that You open Your windows of heaven and pour out Your fullness upon our lives as we search for answers to many questions. We ask the strengths to keep what may be called level heads about matters concerning our hearts, our minds, our spirits, our bodies and our souls. God, things present themselves before us to render us all useless and barren. The strokes have come to claim our abilities to know that You live. God, this Resurrection day is Your day of proven victory over ailment and poison. Guide us each into that brighter day where You are the constant Provider of our daily bread. That we may trust in You as never we have before. From the least to the greatest, from the White House to the penthouse, from the ditch to the alley, from the dunghill to the deserts and shantytowns of broken lives, guide us that we may call you Lord, Savior, Redeemer, Newness Bringer. Our lives are before You and Your power this hour. Thank You for Your willingness to rescue us and to draw us ever closer to You, O Lord God. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers and intercessions for Mr. F. Womble during his time at the UNC Hospitals Stroke Unit. Please continue in prayer that day to day life will be easier than ever before to deal with for him and his family members. Update: M. F. Womble has been reported to be at home walking with his cane and without any other assistance. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! For HE alone is wonderful!

We also call to your prayers the extended families involved in all of these prayer requests. Prayer covers a multitude of attitudes, and God still delivers and heals and sets free because of prayer/ ANd God I pray right now that family rifts and brokenness be removed and repaired for Your glory, Lord God. Thank You for Your faithfulness.

We ask your prayers for the Carl A. Spruill Memorial Scholarship team as they endeavor to bring honor and joy to the name of their loved one and our own loved one. We ask prayers for God's strength that His work may be completed in each of them every day.

Ms. Ramona Farrington is safe and well and back at her home after a brief period in the Britthaven of Chapel Hill Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She has the report that she has achieved rehabilitation capabilities beyond what she had before she fell and broke her ankle some months back. We thank God for His faithfulness to her and also ask your continued prayers for her and for the family members who care for her.

Please remember in prayers Mr. W. Evans, Sr. who was on the Stroke Unit at UNC hospitals. Please believe in prayer that he is actively seeking the peace of God and the love of God as he recovers from his ailing body. We thank God for him this hour.

Please recall the health and strength of Mr. Council, who is Minister D. Johnson's cousin, in your prayers. He has cancer and is not doing well. Please remember his family in your prayers that they may be given patience and comfort and strength and provision in this time of great need.

Please continue in prayer for Mr. K. Mann, Sr at this time. Pray for patience and trust in the Lord and in his family as he recovers and adjusts to the amputation process.

Please also pray continually for Mr. K. Mann, Jr. We ask that you recall also his family and friends atthis time that he may be comforted by the comfort wherewith God comforts him. Continue to ask for his family's strength as they adjust their lives to their concerns for his.

We thank God for Aunt Rachel who turned 95 years old last Tuesday. We were able to go to a cookout held for this occasion this past weekend which was the weekend before the 4th of July holiday. What a joy it surely must be to be 95 and still very much alive by Jesus Christ's hand! We love you Aunt Rachel.
